How low you can go?

We’ve already shown you that you can book a hotel with a mere £1 deposit this month (an offer that’s still on by the way), so I decided to see just how low you can go on the full cost of your hotel stay, without having to sacrifice on quality and service. So for those of you that love a bargain (and to be honest who doesn’t?) I’ve gathered a collection of hotels which are less than £10 per person per night, based on a week for 2 adults in May. Let’s see how low I can go….

Oasis Mango Apartments- Los Cristianos, Tenerife
These 3 star apartments offer simple and comfortable accommodation close to all of the action of Los Cristianos and around 1.5km away from the beach (about 15 mins walk). Its modest decor and high cleanliness has earned the hotel a 7.7 out of 10 review score, based on 144 reviews. The staff at the apartments have been described as  ’very friendly’ and the accommodation as ‘exceptionally clean’ by previous guests. A week’s stay in May at the Oasis Mango Apartments will set you back £8.50 per person per night, for a self catering 1 bedroom apartment.

Terrace Club Hotel – Porches in Albuferia, Portugal
The Terrace Club is a lovely 3 star hotel, ideal for those who are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay by the sea. It’s only a 350m stroll to Nossa Senhora beach and 2.5km from the more famous beach of Armacao de Pera. The hotel has proved popular with guests, being described as ‘excellent accommodation’ and praised for its ‘tranquil peace and scenery’. The hotel has received a customer rating of 7.5 (very good) and is recommended for being close to the beach and restaurants and being well suited for families. A week’s stay at the Terrace Club Hotel comes in at £7.50 per person per night for a 1 bedroom self catering apartment.

Samira Deluxe Hotel – Kalkan, Turkey
This is a lovely, family friendly hotel set on the hillside of Kalkan in the Dalaman area of Turkey. It’s ideal for families and couples looking for a peaceful holiday in beautiful surroundings. As the hotel is set on a hilltop it benefits from stunning coastal views, which are perfect for when relaxing around the pool. The staff at the Samira Deluxe Hotel have been described as  ’very friendly and helpful’ by previous guests who enjoyed the personal and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel has a review score of 8 (great) and a week in May will cost £4.50 per person per night for a 1 bedroom apartment with a pool or garden view on a self catering basis.

Knossos Studios, Stalis, Crete
A small family run hotel within close distance of Stalis’s resort centre and beachfront. You’ll find the accommodation at Knossos to be very basic, yet clean, with friendly staff. If you’re looking for somewhere comfortable to rest your head then it’s ideal. A previous guest described the hotel as ‘overall a very good base for our holiday’ that they ‘would certainly recommend’. With a score of 8.2 (great), the hotel is highly regarded and considering a week in May will cost you £4 per person per night (self catering studio), I’d say that’s a pretty good deal!

Kapmar Hotel, Icmeler, Turkey
This small and welcoming 3 star hotel is based in the popular resort of Icmeler in Dalaman Turkey. The hotel has proved to be very popular with previous guests, who have described it as ‘basic but fantastic’ and with a score of 7.6 (very good) out of 10 it has certainly proved itself. You’ll find plenty to do in the resort, all within a close walking distance, but if you want to explore further afield then Marmaris is a short bus ride away. A week in May at the Kapmar hotel comes up as £4 per person per night on a bed and breakfast board, not bad at all!

It’s worth mentioning that when searching I used the same dates in May (6th-13th) for all hotels; prices may of course vary depending on the dates that you are looking for.

There are so many cheap hotels available and if you think you can do better than me then I challenge you to find a better hotel for less.
